The story takes place in a universe every planet is powered by a life crystal. The planet will die once the energy runs out.
An inventor named Nanami lives on a dying planet. She engineers a portal chair that can teleport her onto a wealthy planet. What this allows her to do is that she gets to steal crystal pieces from the wealthy planet and to keep her planet alive.
So she begins to do this from the goodness of her heart. However, slowly over time, she becomes greedy. She starts to do it because people praise her - If they don't, they won't get any crystals.
Soon, Nanami thought about that maybe the reason why her planet is dying is that someone from another planet was stealing their crystal pieces as well. She's doing unto others what they did unto her, and this is not going to be the solution. Senses of kindness begin to come back to her. Ultimately, Nanami develops a new technology that sustains her planet without needing to steal pieces from the other planet. We always had a reason when we started doing something, and a lot of people tend to forget it along the way when things get hard. So always remember why you started in the first place, and don't let the obstacles affect you, thank you!
