- A child with magical abilities from the small village of Gallsop in the country of Erith recently discovered that they are the descendant of the infamous wizard Edus, who 150 years ago cast a spell that killed half of the population of Erith, with no motive for doing so.
- The other villagers easily found out that the child is a descendant and were quick to turn on them, thinking that they might kill everyone in Gallsop.
- The child believed that the other villagers were being irrational and shouldn't assume that the child is also a mage, even though they are a mage.
- Since the child is quick witted and intelligent, they managed to cast a simple spell that made the townspeople forget what happened within the last 24 hours.
- The villagers didn't suspect a thing from the child until half of the population fell ill with a deadly virus many years later.
